I've always admired Asian art. My first desire to create art came from viewing Persian miniatures. The first books I read as a child were about China, so intriguing and exotic. In recent years I have become even more fascinated with it. Particularly the antiques from the late eighteen hundreds to early 1900's. I most admire the ceramics of Japan, Satsuma, Imari, Hirado and Kutani. I can only dream of creating such wonders. It is the combination of Nature with design patterns that fascinate me.
